At Emergency Lactation Care,
we know that feeding challenges
don’t wait for office hours.

When Rebekah Scroggy, RN, BSN, IBCLC, CNLS, saw families struggling to find help outside of “business hours,” she knew something had to change. With her background in pediatric emergency nursing and her years of experience as a lactation consultant, she founded Emergency Lactation Care to bring compassionate, judgment-free support to families exactly when they need it most—nights, weekends, holidays, and everything in between.

As a Certified Neurodiverse Lactation Specialist and a member of a neurodivergent family, Rebekah is passionate about making sure every family feels seen, supported, and cared for in their feeding journey. Her goal is simple: to provide the kind of support she wishes every parent had—accessible, inclusive, and filled with understanding.

Our approach is built around the three pillars of CPR, which guide every emergency consult: feeding the baby, protecting milk supply, and supporting parent mental health. Using a simple triage system, we help stabilize urgent feeding concerns and create a clear plan until you can meet with your in-person lactation support.

This service is not a substitute for 911 or your local Emergency Department. If you or your baby are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest ER.

  • Your baby’s nourishment comes first. Whether that means breastfeeding, pumped milk, donor milk, or formula, we’ll find a safe, immediate way to make sure your baby is fed.

  • Your health and feeding goals matter, too. Together, we’ll create a sustainable plan to protect your milk supply until you can meet with your local lactation consultant.

  • Parenthood can feel overwhelming. Between hormones, exhaustion, and new responsibilities, it’s easy to feel lost. We’ll make sure your mental health is prioritized as we stabilize the situation and outline your next steps.

Whether you’re a parent in crisis or a consultant managing a waitlist, Lactation Emergency Care helps keep babies fed, parents supported, and the breastfeeding journey moving forward.
